Overview
Over the last few years, a number of New Zealand employers in both the private and public sector have discovered that they have been incorrectly calculating statutory leave entitlements for some of their team members.
TANK has recently gone through a review, alongside a third party specialist and MBIE. This process has identified that some employees have been paid some of their leave entitlements incorrectly.
This review identified issues with how some of our team members’ statutory leave entitlements have been calculated and paid in the past, particularly for waged team members who have worked different hours and days on a week-by-week basis.
If we have notified you via email or text (using your last known details) that you're entitled to a payment, you need to log into our remediation payment portal to receive it.
If you are a previous employee and have not received an email and you would like to check your calculation, please also validate yourself through the portal.
About this process

After submitting your application, our Holidays Act Remediation Project Team will review your details. Once your application is validated, we will inform you about the timeline for recalculating your entitlements and processing any back payments.

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. The information requested is essential for verifying your identity and ensuring any back payments are correctly made to you. We cannot process back payments without this information. By providing your information, you consent to its use in the Holidays Act remediation process and any future remediation processes. If you are due future payments, we will ask you to reconfirm your information.
